DECLINED PERSONAL LOAD AND BANK CHARGES

I applied for a personal loan but it was declined because of unpaid debit orders. The reason for this was because my salary eft took long to process. I was asked for a reason but when i told them my reason they still declined my application. I got paid on the 29/4/2013 but the money only cleared on the 2/05/2013 and as a result my debit orders bounced. I was further charged honorary fees. A complaint was placed on hellopeter about this and nedbank responded by saying it takes 48 -72 hours for an eft to reflect and because it was a public holiday on the 1/05/2013 it took longer. When i applied for my loan they told me that it takes 24 hours to reflect and refused to listen and said i am liable regardless. Now im confused because if it is 24hours then i should not be charged honorary fees as it's not my fault and if it takes 48-72 hours then it should not reflect negatively when i apply for a loan. I have a student account and my banking fees are very minimal and for certain things i don't pay fees according to my schedule given to me, however on my bank statement it shows a large sum of money removed for bank fees. Please me solve these issues with this pathetic bank?
