Proof of payment to SARS

My husband retired at the end of November 2012 and received his payout mid February.
We have been battling since March to get proof payment of the amount that was transferred to SARS for an outstanding balance - R7898.82. This amount was deducted from the pension payment, apparently paid over to SARS, but SARS claims they did not receive any payment and instructed us to get copy of proof of transfer.
We have phoned quite a few times and spoke to a lady with the name of ' Mpho, who actually refuses to transfer the call to any another person who might be in the position to help with more information on this matter. On Monday, 6th May, I have sent emails to two person, namely Cindy Mabunga and Belinda Poonen, but received no response from them as yet. In the meantime SARS is sending messages claiming to take legal action and adding interest to the balance.

Please advise us what can be done to get co-operation from this institution.
