Absa
Flexi availability on commercial loan

From 10/8/2012 ABSA bank decided to charge a monthly levey called "flexi - availability" on my credit balance of my commercial loan account..After a telephonic conversation to my business banking manageress and subsequent emails on 30/10/2012, 7/11/2012, 4/12/2012 & 14/01/2013 i received one journal credit of R1727.00. I was further promised that the next months flexi avaialability amount would be refunded which was not! The last email that i received simply stated that "my request to waive the flexi fee on my commercial bond was declined"

I have spoken to other banks who have informed me that they would not charge me any flexi availability fee. On discussing this matter with my accountant, he informed me that he himself had this problem with Absa but managed to get it waivered.

Are we all sheep to Absa bank and just a number or are we people that should be treated independantly as individuals.

I have had great dealings with Absa bank for over 20 years and hope this will not end our relationship.
