S4/CellC Deal - Am I not a new customer?

Goodday,

I opened a Gold Cheque & Credit account on 10/04/13
I received my Cheque card on 17/04/13
However, I only received my Credit Card on 07/05/13
It also took a month to switch my debit orders, 2 of which havent been moved across yet
My salary will be paid into my FNB account this month for the 1st time
I phone the "Smart Devices" department yesterday to find out if I can apply for the deal and the 1st person I spoke to said yes I qualify
Then got tranferred to New Apps Dep where I was told its only for "NEW' Customers for accounts not older than 10 days

In view of all this...

I not able to get the S4/ Cell C deal because apparently I am not a new customer event hough I was happy to wait a month to receive my Credit Card but according to you after 10 days I'm no longer a new client when in actual fact up until yesterday my account were not yet fully operational.

In my opinion, I am definitely a new customer and therefore should qualify for the deal
