Is it that hard to do exactly what I ask for???

All I wanted to do was apply for a credit card!!!

But what do I get instead?

This is what I have been told:
I need to open a cheque account because I cannot have a credit account and a student account.
My bank account number will not change.
I will receive my card within 5 working days.
I specified that I want to pick my card up at East Rand Mall.
I cannot have my student account and cheque account opened at the same time.
I cannot have a student account and credit card at the same time.

This is the current situation:
It is 3 weeks later and I have not received my cheque card yet!!!
I currently have my student account, cheque account and credit card opened currently.
I have to collect my card at another branch!!!
My bank account number has changed.

I spent a whole Saturday running around for standard bank to get all this information sorted out and they still cannot do their job properly.
I am disgusted with the customer service I have been receiving! To think the slogan is "Simpler, better, faster".
