A New Customer... What a disappointment!

I decided to move my personal baking profile to FNB as my husband seemed reasonably happy with their service. I however, have been forced to rethink this decision.

I completed applications for both a credit card and a cheque account at Germiston branch (23 May 2013). I was told that I qualified for Platinum status. All required documentation was provided, including my marriage certificate.

I have since received a platinum credit card INCORRECTLY issued in my maiden surname.

I received a phone call regarding the credit card - they said that my application was "incomplete" and updated bank statement was needed. Days later- another call requesting an updated payslip. An inconvenience- I'm currently on maternity leave!

Yesterday I received a phone call stating that I qualify for a GOLD credit card. I accepted as a precaution- only because I closed my prior credit card account.

All documentation was provided for both card applications on the 23 May 2013. Why the delay with the credit card? Why differing statuses between the 2 accounts? Can FNB not capture a surname correctly?

I'll be moving my business as soon as I'm back at work. I am not at all happy with FNB!
