No settlement lette

Last week I called the bank and made a settlement offer which was accepted, initially I was told o make the payment but I refused to transfer any monies until I received a letter confirming the amount and also that it is in full and final settlement. Since then I have called a few first I was told by the consultant the confirmation of the arrangement appears on the system but only Petro's could send the letter, my number was taken and till now no call! I called later and after being placed on hold for a long time this consultant let me explain my story and then eventually put me through to Petro's who I asked for in the first place, he then promised to send me the letter and still nothing. I called today again and the call lasted for 18 minutes, 10 of which I was placed on hold and Im sure I would still be on hold if I didn't drop the phone. Pathetic service all around, nobody prepared to assist!! Just wonder how long its going to take for them to update my account details once they have my money...
