Account paid but still need to pay more

I have been paying my standard bank credit card for over 4 years now and do not receive statements as it in their legal department. I only get statements on requesting of it. In the last week I then asked for the settlement figure and it was R7552.90 so I paid it. After that I requested to see statements for the past 6 months. When the statements arrived it showed I owed a zero balance on my card since November 2012 meaning I was paying an account that was already paid in full. I find this misleading and unacceptable and if not resolved soon will go to the Ombudsman.
