I sent the mail below to [Email Removed] over a week ago. Still no response.
I flew to CT from Lanseria on 14 March and was due to return on the 26 March.
Unfortunately I received bad news of my mom falling terminally Ill and was diagnosed to only have a few days left to live.
This forced me to change my booking on Friday 22 March, in order to fly back the Sunday 24 March.
Now I have changed flights on many occasions and I am fully aware of the surcharge, at the most I have paid R400 in the past, but to charge me a further R2099 on a domestic flight is totally outrageous. Why not kick a person while they down!!!
But that's not all. I try to do a online booking earlier in the day, which does not work, SURPRISE, SURPRISE!!
None the less I arrive at your booking counter around 17:50 (70 minutes before departure, counter closes 30 minutes before departure according to the mail you sent me). Only to be told that the flight is overbooked and that I have been bumped off. OMW I thought, could this experience get any worse.
Considering you market yourselves as the "Most South African Airways" with the cheapest fees, I very much have my doubts on either of these.
