I had originally booked a DIRECT RETURN flight from London to Cape Town for the christmas period however due to a change in circumstance - I had to change my dates and route. Initially they were fine about the date and route change - I paid the change fee and life was sweet.
I than got an email from Virgin saying that the Cape Town to London (return leg) flight had changed departure destinations from CPT to JHB... I called to ask if they were going to pay for me to get to JHB from CPT seeing as they changed my departing destination - they than said no (because CPT to LDN is a seasonal route which was never pointed out to me when i made the date change), I asked for a refund because I wanted to fly out of CPT - they than proceeded to tell me that all I would get back was the taxes on the unused ticket... all of this because they are so inflexible and provide no solutions whatsoever! Virgin - you are useless - I am going to be hardpressed to use you in the future and will make sure that my social network know what great customer service you provide!
