Unwillingness to help

I am frequent-ish flyer with kulula, hence decided to use them to fly my mother-in-law over to celebrate with my husband - her only son - on his 50th birthday. The poor 78 year old woman's ID and passport both were. She has subsequently applied for an ID replacement which is still outstanding. She was back at HA to apply for a temporary ID yesterday which wasn't given to her for whatever reason. She is in possession of only the receipt from Home Affairs, a police affidavit and an expired passport. I have called kulula twice to kindly let her fly but they are insistent that only a valid document would suffice. Just how lethal can a 78 year old woman be that they are unwilling to help with our plight? So much for being the most South African Airline. No different from the original most SA airline - no ubuntu. Thanks for nothing, Kulula.
