Kulula need to pull up their socks

A month in advance I had booked my return flight from Lanseria to King Shaka, departing on 25th December 2013 and retuning on 01 January 2014.

My vacation was already planned and I was good to go until 22nd December when I get an email from Kulula informing me that my 11:20am flight for 25 Dec is now moved to 15:30pm due to Kulula not getting a "slot to fly at 11:20am" (yeah right!) - there goes xmas lunch with family.

on the 29th Dec I get yet another email from Kulula informing me that my 20:05pm flight for 01 Jan 2014 is guess what... yet again cancelled due to Kulula "not getting a slot to fly at 20:05pm" so I will now be flying at 15:00pm instead. there goes new year dinner with family. got to love Kulula right.

The flights were available on booking so I can't believe that there was all of a sudden "no slot to fly" at that time. never heard an excuse such as this from other renowned airlines such as Mango or SAA or even the former 1 time airline.
Besides, there were many empty seats on the both flights...

Kulula is hardly such a low cost airline anymore, so one would expect more foreword planning and organizing and less inconvenience on their side.
