Mr boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship between Durban and Johannesburg. Since inception of our relationship (a year and a half ago) we have opted to travel with Kulula. Last year we were not as planned with our trips and would book a day before the actual time, I would fly down to see him almost every weekend, the few exceptions that I did not fly, he flew to Johannesburg to see me. There have been times when we would have an argument and the next morning he would fly up to Johannesburg only to leave a few hours later.
This year is a lot different we have a schedule that we follow and my boyfriend flies up to see me every second week now, however recently his birthday fell right in the middle of our two weeks apart so in essence we saw each other 3 weekends in a row.
I am deeply disappointed to say that Kulula is deteriorating, flights since Jan/ Feb this year is delayed, in the three weekends that we have seen each other, all three return flights were delayed. Kulula is obviously booking more flights than they can actually handle, if the flight arriving to Johannesburg is delayed, then the one going back is delayed due to the same aircraft being used.
