My aged parents were supposed to return to George from ORT on the 11:05 flight yesterday. The flight took off and returned to the airport with a technical difficulty. They had to wait for 2 1/2 hours for another aircraft.
No real apology. No offer of assistance or a drink (the coffee and crisps on offer gave out half-way through). This is the third flight this year where they have been delayed and I have experienced several delayed flights on Kulula. Notification of delays via sms was patchy at best.
Safety should never be compromised. BUT, safety begins with properly serviced aircraft and properly serviced aircraft reduce the number of delays.
1. Please sort out the servicing of your aircraft.
2. Please apologise for delays in a manner that your customers believe you actually care.
3. Offering refreshments during a delay should be the least you should do.
4. Go back to the Kulula that was fun, friendly and seemed to care about its passengers
"low cost" should not equate to "couldn't give a ."
