Unlawful and unfair no refund policy

On 4 March 2013 i booked return flight from lanseria to cape town, this trip is particularly for a concert, i recently found out that im pregnant, due to this being a high risk pregnancy, i was advised medically to take it easy, avoid strain, which means i wont be able attend the concert, i wont be able to fly. I called the call centre and they told me abt the 100% cancellation policy or i need to move my travel dates to within 6months, as someone who had a loss before, and medical risks involved, its advisable to air travel only after the baby is born, which means i wont make the 6months, i asked the agent that was helping me if i cant be accommodated given that kulula has almost a month to sell my ticket, or i can find a buyer for it, she said she cant. On the itinerary it says nothing abt travelling within 6months or that i need yo be hospitalised first b4 its considered a medical reason.
Pls advise what your position is in terms of complying with the consumer act esp for medical reasons, what happens if i travel and i loose my child due to turbulence or whatever reason, why is this not assessed on case by case esp when you can still recover your costs? Shud i go 2 ombudsma
