On the 26th of February I helped my sister Board the greyhound bus to Harare from the parkstation. A day before this incident I had inquired on the price for luggage and was told ithat for every kilo over and above the. 30kg i have to pay R5.00 per kilo. I had curtain rails 2mx11rails, 1.5x25; and 1mx11rails. When I weighed them from home I was expecting to pay 125.00 for the full load. But when I got to the station the guys who were assisting us, charged us R100 per bundle x 2bundles and we paid a total of R200.00 . Both bundles were approximately 30cm in diameter.
My question to management is, is this normal?
What is termed luggage which will be charged at R5.00 per kilo? and what would be termed otherwise which will be charged at the discretion of the guys weighing?
When I called the call centre at 10pm on the 26th of february 2013, the supervisor Vernite suggested that I call Parkstation again, the same people that I had dealt with to my dissatisfaction.By the way, the whole conversation between me and the supervisor was through a call agent who had to ask me to hold on as she verified different facts, is this normal?
