SAA Voyager refuses to award miles

I am a member of the SAA Voyager program. I flew with another airline to the USA and am trying to claim the miles with under the voyager program. According to the voyager website, miles should be allowed for the flight with the other airline. I called the call centre to claim the miles and I was advised that I need my original boarding passes so that they can confirm my attendance on the flight. I did not retain my boarding passes as I did not see the need after checking in with my SAA Voyager number. I have emailed my electronic boarding pass as well as copies of my luggage tags as proof that I was on the flight and the airline I flew with is willing to confirm that I was on the flight. I sent my initial email on 10/01/2013 and followed up with another email on 29/01/2013 but yet no response from SAA. I spoke to a call centre who said that the claim will not be awarded unless the original boarding pass is provided. I do not believe that the rules are so inflexible and after the information provided that the miles are not being awarded. I am a silver voyager member and am loyal to the airline and do not believe that this is the kind of service provided in return
