My parents were meant to leave Johannesburg yesterday on the 17th dec at 16h30. An hour later we called their office several times to check what was happening as the bus had still not arrived. The bus arrived 2 hours later with no apologies or explanation from the staff. My parents eventually left Johannesburg... only to get stuck between Kroonstad and Bloemfontein when the bus broke down around 10pm. They spent the night on the road... no food no water... no toilet... no plan b from the bus company. The next morning they were told another bus is being sent to pick them up and it should be there by 11am. Needless to say, that didn't happen. They had to sit there for another 2hours without basic necessities until a traffic police car called several more to take a few of the passengers to the nearest petrol station to get water and food. My parents are still in Bloemfontein at this very moment... the have spent an entire day in the middle of nowhere and nothing has been done by the company. SA Roadlink service is truly disgusting! They are exactly what all other reports have said them to be. This bus service should be taken off the roads!
