My wife booked and payed for a surprise holiday to Mauritius in December 2013 through Travel Zone. I was not aware of our destination until a night before our departure.
Our stay at Calodyne Sur Mer in Mauritius was far from expectations. These issues are noted at great length on my feedback report on TripAdvisor.
Many of the issues identified were (possibly) beyond the control of Travel Zone. Alternatively they might have been aware of the issues but turned a blind eye.
Firstly, when booking, my wife emphasised that I am a vegetarian
Even when we booked excursions with the local representative and emphasised that my dietary requirements needed to be addressed on the excursions, NOTHING WAS DONE!
Secondly, my wife opted to pay in excess of R3000.00 as an "all-inclusive" package. Upon arrival we were advised that the so-called "all-inclusive" meant that we could only order local drinks, we had a limited choice of cocktails and were limited to 2 per person per day, it did not include anything from the bar menu, and the times were limited from 10am to 10pm.
I have requested Delene Brown to provide me with an explanation on 30th December 2013. To date... no explanation!
