I was halfway through booking a Mauritius trip when I supposedly won accommodation in Mauritius after attending a sales/marketing presentation for the HOLIDAY CLUB Group. REALTIME MARKETING managed the presentation and sales. TOUCAN TRAVEL mailed a voucher that read "complimentary accommodation, you pay only for your meals! I had to pay a R178 admin fee.
I received quotes from TOUCAN TRAVEL that were similar to the offers/promotions of any travel agency. The TOUCAN quotes were promotional offers with no "prize" or "free" accommodation in sight. On Trip Advisor it was obvious that the resorts offered were sub-standard compared to the resorts on offer from the well-known travel agencies - but at the same price.
This resulted in a 3 week delay of my holiday plans.
The resort I earmarked for my holiday, Veranda Pointe Aux Biches at R32900 (All Inclusive), is now fully booked.
I am left with an option that is R6000 more expensive because I was foolish enough to get involved in this nonsense and wait for a "free accommodation voucher".
If I had the resources and I knew how, I would have kept REALTIME MARKETING responsible for this additional R6000 I now have to fork out.
