So disappointmented for no bus that pitch

So I booked a ticket for my mom to board in Kimberley to Potchefstroom via Computicket dd 12/11/2013, collected the ticket at Checkers the reference number of the ticket NBG583. She was suppose to board the bus on the 11/2/2013 in Kimberley time 6:30. We were there 6:12 and at 6:45 I phoned to find out where the bus is to find out that the bus is an hour late (after 2 calls) and will be there 7:30. So no bus at 7:30 another phone call to be advised that the bus was there at and left 6:40. The only bus that did arrived was a Greyhound. The driver of Ricki's Taxis advised us that there was a Translux bus that left at 6:06 and he do not believe that there will be another bus. I just want to know what will now happen to the ticket that I still have and could not use. They advised me that I have missed the bus and that it is my word against that of the driver. Can I request to change the ticket for a return ticket back to Kimberley as it is paid for and not used??
