Poor Service on Inter-City Express

My pensioner mother travelled back from Port Shepstone on the Inter-City Express Bus service yesterday. Just outside PMB the bus broke down and they had to wait nearly 2 hours for a replacement vehicle to be sent from Durban. She should have been home at five and phoned my at about 3 to tell me what had happened. She called again as they were leaving Benoni but only arrived back in Edenvale after 7 only to discover that her luggage was no longer on the bus. Turns out a passenger who disembarked in Benoni took my moms suitcase but it would appear no-one supervised the removal of the luggage and checked that the correct bags were claimed. We were asked for a baggage check in Edenvale, but my mom said she had not been issued with one - so what was the point??? The driver was very helpful and contacted me once he arrived at the depot to log the complaint and I sent an e-mail to the depot as well. Hats off to Moses who did everything in his power to locate my mom's suitcase (which contained her medication) - I will have to go to OR Tambo to collect the bag though. I only found out when she returned that the bus was also late in leaving on her outward journey.
