On returning from a weekend in Johannesburg, I discovered my car had been broken into and my GPS unit from my cubby hole in P4 shaded parking at Cape Town International Airport. I opened a docket with the SAPS and their finger print expert dusted my car. Despite excellent service from the SAPS, why am I paying R200 for parking and hopefully decent security, to be robbed of my R1000 GPS? Katanga Parking Services have not installed CCTV cameras to monitor the parking and Bosasa Security seems incapable of preventing, despite regular patrols. When advised of the situation, both Katanga and Bosasa laid the responsibility at each others' doors. I see from this website that Katanga doesn't reply to complaints. So I am taking to social media and the press to make this issue as public as possible. And if you have a look online, there are no end of complaints about long term parking in Cape Town International Airport.
