British Airways Comair
British Airways Comai

The Vodun Haunts was on tour (Jozi) this weekend (26th Sept -30 Sept) and flew up with Kulula Airlines and had a wonderful flight up with no problems and it was an easy domestic flight for all in the band.

The band paid R700 for two items that was hand luggage on the flight back with British Airlines where as Kulula airlines hand luggage up to JHB was free.

The manager (dressed badly) at the baggage area in jozi for BA argued that our band memebers could only have 1 bag of luggage (20kg) and 1 bag of hand luggage. We all had 1 bag luggage which was less than 10 kg in weight and then 3 guitars, snare drum bag, cymbal bag containing 4 cymbals and a drum pedal bag which was equally distributed in weight amongst the band members on the Kulula flight to JHB a few days earlier. Kulula were very accomodating to our band So any musicians travelling, please fly Kulula or Mango as the other mentioned carrier was terrible.

My question is to the BA airline, does a disabled person then pay for their wheel chair when flying? BA policy is misleading compared to our domestic airlines and need a serious wake up call and we would also like to know why as a band, why we were mislead in the costs, refund
