We have two people with nearly exactly the same names at our office, when booking I accidentally used the incorrect surname - They both start with the same three letters and their first name is exactly the same. I entered the correct date of birth and contact details. When calling within two hours to explain it and try and correct I was told they were unable to assist me in any way. I can't correct the surname and I can't cancel the booking and get a refund. Meaning I literally threw away R1200 for a typo.
Surely it doesn't cost them a cent to make this change. I can understand not doing a complete transfer to another name, birth dates and all but this is a change of literally 5 letters - from Reynolds to Reyes.
