I took a flight, my 1st flight ever on 4 May 2013. Cape Town to Durban. had a early landing in Durban so had to get my luggage in a hurry to phone my Cousin to make sure she is on the airport. 1st time in Durban so did not know what to expect. Upon getting my luggage, 2 of the 4 clips that folds over the suitcase was broken. I was disappointed in my first flying experience. Got a mail from Travel stat 5 May inquiring about my flight. I mailed back 6 May to report about the suitcase. Was mailed back to say I must take it up with the airlines. Since I was on holiday I said to myself I will contact them when I am back in Cape Town. That I did on 16 May where I was informed that the 7 day reporting period is long overdue but still had to make several calls including phoning to Durban as I was sent from here to there.
How was I suppose to know that I was to report the damaged suitcase at the Durban airport and where...?
I thought that if you fly you should be worried about your life... but I would rather worry about my luggage.. that is if I should one day make use of them!
