I am a BA executive club member (25683613) and was due to fly from Joburg to Cape Town on the 12:50pm flight (flight nr 6417). It was a very hot day and as was my luck BA loaded a full plane of passengers and then delayed the flight. To turn an already bad situation worse, the airconditioning packed up and we were stuck in the cabin for 40-45min.
The communication by BA cabin staff was abysmal (or nonexistant).
In addition, before I boarded the plane I gave my suite luggage bag to the cabin controller to place in the hold. I handed the bag to him just in front of the entry door. I asked him two times (to make sure) that he understood my seat number and that I was expecting a receipt.
We landed very late and to add to my horrible experience, I waited 30 min for my bag. I knew that something was suspicious as my bag should have come with the first tranche of luggage.
After everyone left the carousel I proceeded to the BA desk to report my missing bag. Eleonore Ngwa assisted me and found that the bag was in a luggage compartment - the cabin attendant did not tell me that he decided to put my bag in the luggage compartment. This after another wasted 30min.
