I travelled to Durban from Grahamstown on Tuesday 02 July. Firstly the bus arrived 2.5 hrs late, then there were some serious hygiene issues on the bus (see below) and then to off, I could not reach the call centre to make a complaint. The e-mail address on the website didn't work.
This was the e-mail I sent with the details of the complaint:
I travelled on the translux from Grahamstown to Durban on Tuesday evening. It was certainly the most unpleasant bus trip I've ever been on. The bus was filthy as a start.
As I sat down I smelt something that smelt a lot like vomit. 2 other ladies sat in the seats behind me and after a few minutes called the hostess and showed her that someone had in fact vomited on the seats and all over the floor. The hostess simply said "I'll put a carpet down for your feet"' the 2 ladies were upset and luckily were able to move. However at the next stop the bus filled up and 2 people had to sit there! The smell was revolting and Made me sick to my stomach. 12 hours on a boiling hot bus with the constant smell of vomit - not a good start to my holiday!!
However, the return bus trip from Durban back to Grahamstown was clean and much better - thank you!
