This company has poor ethics. I once had made a provisional booking to which we agreed that if I pay before a certain date, they will then cancel the booking if payment is not received by this date.
I failed to pay as I had cancelled the booking. instead of sticking to their original plan, they then said I owe them money. a dispute they failed to follow up on when I said they should replay my booking.
now I wish to cancel because I can no longer afford, they are informing me that I have a legal obligation to settle 35 instalments of R633, 00 each. I don't know what gave rise to the obligation as this was a contract to sell me rights to book accommodation at a discounted price, a service which I had not used in the 10 months that I had joined.
This, for the sake of interest, is the same incidence that happened to my mother when she was a member of Holiday Access and wanted to cancel.
Cancellation clauses should be more convenient for both parties. This is a clear illustration of poor ethics. SOUTH AFRICANS SHOULD NEVER JOIN THIS COMPANY AS THERE IS NO CANCELLATION CLAUSE. THEY ARE A RIP OFF!!!
