Refund of an unused ticket

My hubby bought a ticket from Ernest Quincy for a flight on Sierra Leone to Kenya Airways and then reconnecting flight with SAA. As the flight was delayed SAA left the passengers in Nairobi. He had to purchase another ticket. We have been trying to sort this out since his return to SA. SAA refunded the ticket to Ernest Quincy in the amount of $937 on the 8th May. He was supposed to pay this amount into our bank account here in S.A. - to date this has not been done. We have tried everything to get our money back. Why SAA could not have refunded themselves here in SA i don't know. he is now ignoring us flatly and we desperately need the money - what can we do, how do we open a case against this gentleman, if i can even call him that???
