My wife came to visit me in South Sudan and flew SAA from CPT to JHB and Kenya Airways further.
Flight SA 374 (20/09/13) landed 1hour and 7minutes after the scheduled time. Due to this she was not able
to board her Kenya Airways flight. I had to arrange accommodation for her 12:00 in the morning and sort out a new ticket with Kenya Airways for the following morning.
I reported this to SAA with all the details, new ticket I had to buy R3920 and accommodation R550.
I got a response from Aletha van der Westhuizen [Email Removed] who asked for my banking details to refund me. She then never got back to me. After three months of sending various emails to her and SAA I received an email from Susara Steenkamp [Email Removed] who asked I explain the case. After I did she said SAA will not be refunding me...
I do not accept the blame on my wife's behalf and will seek remuneration for the costs I had to incur due to a flight delay from SAA
Please get back to me with another solution as this does not suffice.
