Incompetence / Bad Service

A month ago I sent our family application forms for our British Passports to Pretoria. About 3 weeks later my husband got a call stating that they needed a document from him. With ongoing emails backwards and forwards from this date and unanswered questions and requests for unnecessary documents! Eventually today we managed to sort out the queries. And I add 2 unnecessary calls to the UK British Consulate. This afternoon I got a call from then stating that all the applications are in order and we should be receiving our British Passports within 1-2 weeks, what a relief - short lived!!! An hr later I get a call requesting more documentation this time from me and my husband wrt my son. I wish to state at this stage, payment went through for all applications on the 11th April, surely payment takes place on the application being thoroughly checked and ready to be processed!! This whole matter just makes me wonder what happened to being competent!
