Ridiculous pricing

My girlfriend couriered my passport application on my behalf to the British Consulate in Pretoria. One envelope. Price? R910! She was told that the normal consulate/embassy fee is R735, but due to long waiting times at the British Consulate, an additional fee of R175 is levied.

I fail to see how this is my problem. I am paying for a service, A to B, not for somebody's time. What makes this even more ludicrous is that my father, for his application in April, paid around R200 at Postnet in The Glen to the British Consulate.

I think it is safe to say that I will not ever be using Postnet again. For anything.
