Sim rejected - lack of urgent assistance

I have been with Cell C for more than 10 years and only in the last 3 weeks my SIM went faulty and I needed to do a SIM swap. My wife went to Centurion Mall Cell C and told she needed to bring an original ID, proof of residence and R10. We then went to Lifelstyle (Midrand CellC) and I was told I needed to bring proof of residence as well (I only had my ID). I then decided to call the Call Centre with a new unregistered SIM as advised by the Cell C but was told it will take 24 working hours. I went to Centurion on Sunday with my proof of residence and copy of ID and my license however I was told an original is required since it is contract. My wife went again today with my original ID, proof of residence and new SIM and was told R50 for SIM swap and another SIM is required and it must be owner. Long story short, I would like ask Cell C to keep this note on record because I am intending to continue with this contract once it expired. I will try and make time to sort this out, actually I would have expected to receive and free SIM after more than 10 years on 1 SIM. BTW the service at Centurion Cell C is BAD, no smiles and all you get is sorry, bye, bye. It's like you are begging them.
