I obtained my monthly bill from MTN SA a few weeks ago to find that apparently I'm sending sms's to a number called 42352. I had to pay an extra R180 on my bill because of these sms's. I called the MTN Customer Support team and WOW, no help there. Everytime i call i get told something new. Worst part is that, when i call the Channel Mobile who rents out this number (42352) i get told they are not able to tell me which company it is that is using their number to charge me R30. I feel like someone has actually my number and is using it for their own profits. No one is willing to help because no one i guess wants to accept blame. The worst part is that i dont even see the sms's leaving my mobile device. i just get billed. I'm hugely disappointed in MTN cause even when i called them to help me stop this sms from going out, NOT TO GET MY MONEY BACK, just to stop the sms, i get given excuses. Every time i get told that a request has been sent to someone. i definitely without fail wish i would have taken up my contract with someone else. i have never been so disappointed in a company as i am in MTN. I get the feeling that they don't care, as long as they get their money that is it
