To whom it may concern,

My wife's 24 month cellphone contract with 8ta ended in October 2013. We went into the 8ta store in Cavendish in September, where a very friendly (though apparently incompetent) young lady tended to my request to put my number onto prepaid for migration to another network. She assured me it would be done by the end of October.

It did not happen. I expected that the contract migration was taking an extra month like it had with my other number. The number did not go to prepaid at the end of November,

I went in to the store again, now in a new and highly visible part of Cavendish Square and was told that the migration request had never gone through!

Another very friendly young lady helped me, and back dated my request and assured me that she had sent it through herself. I would be contacted, she said, within 48 hours regarding the migration. Again I was not contacted!

I called 081180 today off my Cell C number (because my wife's 8ta sim is being rejected by the phone) to enquire again and was told by Siki that the case had not been sent through! She did it now. Telkom mobile have 2 extra months of my money, contrary to our contract or my instructions.
