Unsure of your D/O date? No service for you!

I called 082155 on 16 Jan around 10:30am and had a very frustrating 26 minute call in order to increase my spend limit and buy a once off data bundle. I was in the queue for 6 minutes before connecting to an agent (no call back option) but I know these things happen.

The frustrating part was that it took another 15 minutes to authenticate myself. After providing the cellphone number, the ID, billing address and bank account details, the agent could still not help me as I was not sure of my debit order date.

Of all things, I would think DO date to be the least important as 90% of people would have their debit orders go off on 1, 31 or 15 of the month. (I can never remember whether mine is the last or first day of the month, it's so trivial to me given I have 30 debit orders.

The agent was not at fault, but the authentication process left me feeling like a number at best (more like a) after being a loyal customer for 10 years with multiple subscriptions. I have never had this problem before and hope the process can be enhanced so that other questions can be supplemented for the debit order date or perhaps a user selected pin? Common Vodacom, you are better than this!
