I wanted to express my dissatisfaction with the service (or lack thereof) that I have received from MTN. I signed up for a Microsim for my Ipad on 12 April. The microsim would be a slave to the 3G card that I have in my laptop. The addition would be treated as an upgrade and I was told that the service would be activated in 2-24 hours. As at today (22 April), the service is still not activated. I called the MTN technical assistance centre on 18 April and I was horrified to learn that the upgrade to a 2GB 3G service was not processed even though I had completed the documentation lon 12 April. I went down to the "service centre" at Standard Bank campus on the 18th and I had to complete all documentation again. So, after all that, I am still unable to use a service that I signed up for. I have wasted time on calls to call centre's and going down to the MTN centre. What an absolute joke and pathetic service!
