Deciding not to renew my 2 Vodacom accounts I called and asked what was required of me to cancel and not renew my account. I was instructed to call by the end of February and my account notification would be given. I did and received both cancellation of contract notifications via email. I subsequently received my next invoice and the 24 month contract discount had been taken off one of my accounts. On 3rd April I called and spoke to not 1 but 5 people who transfered me. After over an hour on the phone I was assured by a Madeson Lange that a Petronella Mathebula (Collectoin Dept. Team Leader) was taking care of the misunderstanding. I subsequently received my latest bill and have once again been charged the premium and not discounted rate. 22 April I call again spoke to Gugu Masina who stated that no query had been logged. All persons prior to Gugu told me their names were my reference numbers, yet when I called 082 1946 as instructed NO ONE knew any of them. I too was informed that the reference numbers (their names) were not reference numbers. I requested reference numbers will all 5 persons I spoke to. This is about principle and not money!!!
