I opened a contract with mtn mid march for Data service, when I open the contract I was assured that there would be nothing on the contract that would be displeasing or binding for me, when I had insisted to read the terms and conditions. The only thing I was told was that the contract is an open plan, they did not explain what its all about. I only found out about the detailed information of my contract when I started calling MTN because I wanted to know what are my options if i have finished all my data, would I be able to to purchase them.
MTN call centre told me that I have used all my data that was issued to me from the 19 March 2013, plus I had overexceeded and had used up my credit limit. I asked them what do they mean when they are talking about a credit limit, and asked them how is it possible for me to finish a 2GB, in less than a month they said to me that I was not issued with a 2GB, my data bundles were pro rata issued. I was surprised because the store said I am getting a 2GB, they never told me I would be issued data pro rata. In a nutshell now MTN has billed me with R2072.52, of which I was suppose to pay R129 per month, I have not received the email of the invoic
