Late last year, I reserved an iPhone 5 16GB on the Cell C website. (I was due for an upgrade at the end of December 2012.)

The timing was perfect - I was called just after Christmas with the good news that my reserved iPhone was ready. Unfortunately, I was then informed that I could NOT upgrade from my Red Bull contract to a Cell C iPhone contract. Numerous phone calls later I finally made peace with this - I had to wait out my 24 month contract.

Today however, I get a call from Lebo in the Cell C upgrade department (084 145) telling me that I CAN indeed upgrade my Red Bull contract to a Cell C contract (It's really is the same shop, call centre etc.) Great news indeed! (Lebo was not sure why I had been incorrectly told that the upgrade was not possible earlier...)

Now the problem is that there are no more 16GB iPhones available (my reserved unit was given to someone else). I could only opt for a much more expensive iPhone 32GB or 64GB which is not what I wanted - that's why I reserved a 16GB in the first place!

In general, I've been loving the recent Cell C energy, offerings, marketing etc - but really don't know what to make of this service. Seems so trivial to resolve...
