I've been a loyal mtn customer under contract basis for cover - 8 years and all my handsets have been insured under mtn Insurance with a cover of R5000 which also reflected on my statements.
Previously claimed only once and was paid out to maximum value without any problems
on the 8 march logged a claim for a lost phone but was told a payout limit 4100 and enforced to buy Samsung tried to dispute the matter with mtn Insurance to replace the handset with a Sony which would be covered by the maximum value of 5000 this is based on my account history i have never used any handset other than Sony but was told if i don't accept the recommended handset mtn will not be able to do anything for me
i had to pay the difference which i found unfair why did they let me pay for 5000 cover when my phone is only worth 4100, I want nothing to do with mtn anymore they don't value their clients they can go o he'll there is Vodacom i will never renew my contracting them already cancelled their insurance
