My actual complaint is quite simple, I did an upgrade online to an Experia Z which offered a free speaker if you did the upgrade online. I've received the phone and the sim card but no speaker. Not the end of the world and the issue should easily be rectified or clarified. Vodacom had sent me an sms confirmation with reference number and telephone number for queries. The query number did not work - 0821959, so I phone customer care who proceed to take down details, cut me off, put me through to the wrong people. Long story short I'm on the phone for 30 minutes but finally get through to someone proactive. She puts me through to the upgrades department (0821959). Fuzo from upgrades ask's me to repeat my complaint, doesn't apologise for his contact number being down, and informs me that they have cancelled a lot of the value add deals and also they might be out of stock. After hearing about my problem, the frustration I have with getting through etc. he tells me to send a mail to customer care.
One wonders if Vodafone would also have such an apathetic attitude to customer service.
