My phone was last night so I went into a Vodashop to get a new sim card in order for people to get hold of me. Apparently there was a small sum un paid on my account which I was unaware of as I had paid my monthly account. I had not received any notification of this. I took out my credit card to pay but was told that I must go to a bank and transfer the money. I duly did this and returned with a proof of payment.By the time she was ready to attend to my issues apparently the vetting department was closed. I was told to come back the next day. I informed them this is my only line and means of communication. I have had no phone since last night and nobody is able to get hold of me. I am driving around Johannesburg with no cell phone and no means of contacting any one other then by e-mail via my tablet. I spend a large sum of money with Vodacom on a monthly basis and am disgusted that I am forced to be without a sim card and left without a means of communicating. I have about five accounts with Vodacom and have been a client since the eighties and would expect some kind of customer loyalty and support especially under these circumstances. I will not be renewing with Vodacom
