Got a call from VODACOM's call centre agent last night that I will receive an sms stating that I'm doing a sim swap and I should ignore it because he punched my no by mistake. I did receive the sms but did as I was advised. This morning I woke up and there's a message in my phone that says sim registration failed. I called them, spent more than 40 minutes on the line with them on my MTN line which was costing only for them to tell me that I can either do a sim swap or they will reverse the existing sim swap but will take 24hrs for my phone to work. What I don't understand is that how is their staff incompetency my problem. Now I have to buy another sim card whereas they are the one who caused this mess or else be offline forever because it means from last night I'm out of reach and I'm being inconvenienced. They promised that they will be calling updating me of the progress made but NEVER DID!
