I signed up for what seemed to be a great offer with Cell C last year - R99 for 2 GB pm.
I only ever need to use my internet connection during evenings and weekends, and it seems the network is ALWAYS too busy to connect. I got so fed up with not being able to use Cell C that I signed up for a TELKOM Internet connection last month! No problems with Telkom, and if it wasn't for that connection - which I might add works without fail EVERY time I want to use it - I would not be able to write this complaint right now!
Upon phoning Cell C about the problem they advised it was because there aren't enough towers in my area... And that I just need to wait. Wow. Well, I'm sorry to be difficult Cell C, but it's not as though I live in a remote part of the country! If you can't even supply sufficient coverage in suburban Pretoria East YOU ARE IN THE WRONG BUSINESS!
The end result of this exercise is that I am stuck in a 24-month contract which I cannot use at all! I am being debited R99 every month, which is going straight into Cell C's profits.
DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE - CELL C WILL YOUR MONEY AND NOT GIVE A
