Broken phone under Warranty Period

I upgraded to a Iphone 4s on 4/10/12. The phone broke on 18/03/2013. Took the phone to MTN on the 20/03/13 and was re-assured that the phone was under warranty and will be replaced, also will receive feedback within a week. No feedback, only received a sms that the person who help me was not at work.

Go back to the MTN store and get told that I will only receive feedback after 14 days and that there was no progress to report.

Receive a phone call the following week stating that the replacement was approved but the there is no stock available, the product has been discontinued, they will let me know when they find one. When I asked, by when will I receive a answer they state that it is impossible to give a date.

Go back to the MTN store, after no response was forth coming. Iphone 4s not available anymore in Cape Town, will try to source one from elsewhere, when asked for an alternative option. I must upgrade my contract to the Iphone 5 or wait until they can source a phone that has been DISCONTINUED!!! This could be indefinitely.

Due to no fault of my own, I will now need to pay even more for a phone, that broke on me. Meanwhile a pay over R500 a month for no PHONE!!!
