Dealing with Telkom feels like hitting my head against a brick wall - I get a lot of self-inflicted pain, but I'm getting nowhere to solving my problem which has been ongoing for more than a year. Since my last report, someone from Telkom called me on Wed 20 Mar to test my ADSL. I was at the office, and Thur being a public holiday, I said I would be home on Fri morning. He promised to call me on Fri, which never happened. On Thu, I received an SMS from Telkom stating that the fault has been repaired, which it wasn't. On Sat, I received another SMS stating that the ADSL service has been repaired. It was better after that, but since late Sat afternoon, I've had virtually no connection.
I reported the line again, but keep on getting automated sms's that the line has tested free of defects. On how many occasions have I tried to explain to Telkom that the problem is with the ADSL service, not the line, but to no avail. On Mon 25 Mar someone called me and I explained the situation to him and he said he'll send someone out to my premises, but so far nothing has happened.
WHAT MUST I DO?? Nobody at Telkom wants to take ownership and get it fixed, they just want to close the fault ASAP.
