Application Processing - 48 Hours Going Strong

Good Day.
I've applied for an additional contract on Friday 2013-03-22 16:30 with MTN Cape Gate. The contract was for R89 per month, Samsung Galaxy S5300. I was informed that processing will take between 2-48 hours. Saturday 2013-03-23 18:35, I was at the store again, system shows processing. Today 2013-03-24 16:20, I was again at the store, still showing processing - 48hours later. I asked if they can do a phone follow-up, but was informed that they can only log a request and can take up to 24 hours. This totally unacceptable, I'm and existing contract client of MTN. Somewhere, someone is not doing their work. I'm being a client of MTN since 2001 already, account fully paid each month. A total new application, maybe 48 hours. But an additional application more that 48 is poor customer service. And then tried to phone 808, also a no-go. They can't assist me, I must phone service department, only back at office on Monday. Hope people with think twice before doing an application with MTN these days. I've asked the store assistant to cancel my application.
