Ridiculous service delivery

I applied for an internet contracts last week Tuesday 12/03/2013. I sumbitted all the necessary documentation as well as my existing modem.
Till now no consultant has contacted me with the outcome of the application. And this is only for R69 per month... how difficult can this be. I went to the store to enquire on progress and was told the app is still with their credit department. Why does it take 10 days for a internet contract of R69 per month to be approved or declined.
